Overheard negotiating for space and studio's. The two guys broadcast group has purchased two AM's in Las Vegas an AM in Tucson and from what I heard are in negotiations for two AM's here in Phoenix. They didn't say what format here in Phoenix when asked. They did say they need a studio for guests????? They wanted about 3,000 sq. ft. and spent two hours with an engineer. They wanted the space right away.

Two AMs in Vegas?! Most of the three or four AMs on that pathetic, small, unlistened to wasteland of an AM band there have already changed hands at ludicrous prices in the past 18-24 months... KDWN and KNUU recently, KLAV and KRLV not long ago... what's left? KSHP is a cash cow, 670 isn't constructed yet... although I suppose CBS is for sale, no?... but they have FMs to dump, too.

Not to mention there aren't any AMs in Phoenix worth having available.

Las Vegas AM radio is the worst in the nation. They should all convert to 10-watt TIS status and save the electrons for Wayne Newton's sign.

Found out it's the guys that own KLAV and KRLV and take over KSAZ in Tucson soon.
