As of Spring 2011 Renda Broadcasting's KMGL went down a little bit to 6th place with a 4.9 share in the Arbitron Ratings. They were standing at 5th place with a 5.0 for Winter 2011.
I were expecting that KMGL would go down to 6th or 7th place with a 4.9 or 4.8 for Spring 2011 because their playlist didn't sound that good throughout the Winter and Spring. They were playing a lot of aggressive materials like Maroon 5's "Misery" and had it spinning hard and they weren't playing that many good songs by then and that lead me to believe that the station numbers are going to be going down for Spring '11.
KMGL had a playlist update at the beginning of May '11 and it had the station dropped a lot of currents and aggressive materials, but they still play some aggressive materials like Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted Dead Or Alive". Although their May '11 playlist update brought a lot of good songs to the playlist that they don't play much or at all before they had their playlist update. I believe that their new playlist since May will bring the station numbers up for the Summer '11 ratings.
