Oh goody! We need some more amusing posts on this board - and boy, do they flood in whenever the ratings are released. Let the absurdity begin!

I can't wait. Let me guess what will be said:

1. KKWF. KQMV and JACK will own the market
2. KMPS and KPLZ will flip format
3. Rivers, Kent and Alan and Ichabod are old and will be fired
4. AM radio is dead
5. The latest trend means EVERYTHING.

Yeah I agree DJDAN the same ol' stuff will continue to be posted on ratings days. But you can't ignore the fact that there are some stations in this market that are clearly struggling. And in most instances, it's a case of a bad trend that causes all the bashers to hit this site and prematurely announce a stations' demise, but if you look at the ratings over the last year or so, there are a few station's that are or should be a little concerned.

KZOK 'will definately' be at #1 - bet the rent money

Majoradio, I have an extra room if you need a place to stay

KZOK got nailed. A major ARB correction must've occurred that kept diaries out of Rivers/Classic Rock fans. I'm sure they're pretty happy nonetheless. And perhaps KZOK'ers started catching up on the Mariners over on KOMO. The Mariners get a spike over the last weeks while KZOK takes a dive.

The Wolf (as I've predicted here) remains strong. KISW is somewhat of a surprise. JACK does well but for how long. Movin and KUBE will be doing battle for awhile. I'd love to see P1, TSL and other trends regarding KJR-FM. As for KJR-AM you got to hope the Huskies bring some fire to the airwaves (as well as the M's) this fall. I'm growing pretty fond of this sports outlet that many feel is one of the best and I hope it survives.

In all a pretty interesting book. KIRO has issues. The End is a disaster. The buzz on KPTK has worn thin. KVI has serious signal problems that prevent growth. KTTH has Michael Medved (uggh). What's up with NAC and Soft Rock? And kudos to KMPS. This station just keeps making it easy for the loyals and P1's to keep staying tuned.

Here you go:

For the month of June your winners in the prime demo:
KCMS
KISW
KUBE
KPLZ
JACK

For the Spring book the winners are:
KZOK
KISW
KCMS
KMPS
KKWF
KPLZ
JACK

Looks like the KZOK prediction came true. Two books back to back on top in prime demos. On the AM dial, no one is in the top ten again with
KOMO and KIRO virtually tied for 13th with KOMO getting big numbers during Mariners, KIRO winning the other time periods. All other AM's looked ill.
KRWM took a big slide, probably due to the strength of KCMS. Still a tie in the Country battle. KMPS wins the 35+ crowd, KKWF wins the 18-34 crowd.

Business as usual. KZOK, KISW get the prime demo men. KCMS, the Country stations and KPLZ own the women. (KCMS just replaced KRWM in this book)
KISW, KUBE and KKWF have the 18-34 year olds.

18-34 is pretty easy. KKWF, KISW, KUBE are way above the pak in mornings.
25+ is a pretty wide open demo. Lots of stations in the hunt there in morning drive. Women it is the Countries, KPLZ and KCMS. Men it is KZOK, KISW and KIRO

Monti rocks despite her sagging numbers. She is ya-ya good and Movin' will definitely rebound. Kiss is history. It's a coin flip whether they or the End flip first. If both plan to keep their formats, expect changes with the talent. After one fluke trend, Adam Carola is struggling yet again and Laslow has done nothing since he hit the airwaves. As for Kiss, Jackie & Bender aren't lighting things up. Maybe ya ya sisterhood Lori Macke should get a shot in Mornings!

DJDAN you might disagree with my belief that Movin' and ya-ya Monti will soon own this market, but you've got to agree with me that both the End and Kiss are having big problems.

Obviously HUGE male book. But, you gotta play by the flawed Arb rules. KISW should be tossing a party right about now!

You have to think that with the amount of money that KBKS is shelling out for Jacke & Bender that something has to give. The station is underperforming, and they cant pull their weight either. Hell, MOViN had a board op for half this book, and a 'barely there' jock for the other half, and even THEY beat J & B.

Big ups to The Wolf. Well done!

Dont worry Warm, Christmas is almost here, you will quickly rebound and ride that book for the rest of the year again.

And Mamma,[EDIT]You amuse me, seriously. But I wouldnt say that MOViN or Monti are going to own anything anytime soon. And we get the 'girl power' apsect, but Lorri Macke should be happy she is filling nights, what would the yayayippyyadoo morning show sound like? "Ummm, I just turned 21 and want to go out and get wasted. Where should I go? Gimme a call?". Not taking away from her acomplishments, but dont pump her up that much, we all know she reads these boards!

Now thats PA PA good!

[EDIT-inflammatory]

I thought this board had lost its humor. Two mamma's posting, and the amusing analysis of the Spring book. Made my morning!
