Coming up next weekend on 104-5 WSNX/Grand Rapids, we'll be doin
The Spring Break DJ Takeover 2012 - it's 16 DJ's, 60 hours non-stop in the mix
starting Friday at 5pm and ending Monday at 5am.
We've done marathon mix show weekends like this every holiday type weekend
and the feedback is always HUGE from listeners. But what I'm most proud of is that
we make these weekends happen without using any syndicated boring mixes.
14 out of the 16 mixers on the schedule are LOCAL mixers (West Michigan area).
In most markets our size, finding GOOD mix show DJ's in town is usually a rarity.
I have 14 of them and ALL 14 are exceptionally talented.
(Oh, the two DJ's who aren't local is one guy from FLZ/Tampa doing an hour, the other
is DJ Flipside from the Jump Smokers - yes and B96 - doing a custom hour for us Sat afternoon)
If any of you have a chance to take a listen at all over the weekend,
I would love to hear honest feedback from everyone about any of the mixers you
have time to check out. Don't hold back, nit pick whatever, I want to hear it.
