what will the new spring book bring to houston airwaves?
i'm hoping for a station that plays the ramones. and perhaps some love and rockets. yeah...and stevie salas.
 
How about an AM station that plays bluegrass versions of songs by The Ramones and Love And Rockets, hosted by Stevie Salas.

It would be cool to flip on any station (in any market) and hear 'different'. A few standbys here and there; but
challenge me with new and different.
Hope to hear DJ's like Martha Quinn and Mark Goodman back on the airwaves - entertaining - one day. Okay...so they were video; content still works.

The Spring book does not start until early April, and will not be released until mid-July.

The one plus of the Sirius Classic-Alt is the old Mtv VJs. those guys don't have enough pull for me. and the variety is not very good.
and since I grew up on Houston radio, I've never heard fo Stevie Salas.
but I agree on the Love and Rockets.
 
Stevie Salas released his first album, Stevie Salas Colorcode, while I was at KLOL in 1990. He has played on various George Clinton albums and toured with Rod Stewart. As a guitarist, many place him in the same category as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. He continues to release new albums and has an extensive back catalog.
