Spring Trend 1

According to the total 12+ numbers, 105.5 WDUV has "on paper" more than double the number listeners of the 2nd place station in Tampa Bay. Another interesting stat is that it takes ALL 5 of the other Cox stations combined to garner the same amount of ears that 105.5 is getting. I know the demo breakdowns tell another story but you can't argue that WDUV has picked up quite a bit since the oldies and beautiful music stations have gone more "pop" and or gone away. If this aint the end for The Point or The Bone I don't know what is. Seems to me the Eagle is now trending down too.

Always amazing that stations like the DOVE with huge cume numbers always seem to have an "asterisk" due to the demographics. If ad agency people would realize that people over 55 actually have piles of spendable money, that thinking may go away. More human beings listen to that station than any other in our market. It's great to own a demo. Even greater to own a demo that no one else wants to approach.

Older radio listeners also listen to their favourite radio stations more intently than younger radio listeners - especially the commercials. Older radio listeners are far less likely to turn the dial or push the button when the ads roll.THE MAJOR
