Springer's Cleveland Replacement

...is sister WSPD/1370 Toledo host Bob Frantz, who returns to Cleveland's "Big One" years after doing sports work for them. He'll be doing a general issues talk show in the slot once occupied by Jerry Springer (and earlier than that, Glenn Beck and Dr. Laura, in reverse order). Frantz describes himself as a "moderate conservative", so there's no effort to keep liberal talk on a station that doesn't carry it anywhere else on the schedule (and is Cleveland's Rush affiliate).

Springer gains no Northeast Ohio replacement, and is not likely to do so. Clear Channel has liberal talk WARF/1350 here in Akron, but there's no room for him on the schedule...at least in a live clearance. "Radio Free Ohio" is already squeezing Jones' Stephanie Miller and local host Joe Finan into that slot.

I wouldn't be surprised if late night or weekend airings of Springer's show eventually show up on WARF (maybe in the 1-5 AM slot currently occupied by repeats of Franken's show), but it wouldn't seem like a priority at this point. To contrast, WARF sister WHLO/640 leapt into action to grab Premiere's Beck after WTAM dropped him.
