How was it covered, though? The topic of transsexualism and transgender issues isn't inherently wrong for his radio show. Transsexuals are the most likely of any minority to be killed in a hate crime; "gender identity" often is not included in bills ensuring equitable treatment of minorities based on race, sex, creed, disability, etc.; more powerful gay rights groups are often poor advocates for transgender issues, while the transgender community is often too small in and of itself to be able to effect political change; trans people are among the last remaining minorities you can openly insult on network television; all these are perfectly legitimate issues. Was it these sorts of things, or the stupid "transexual strippers surprise their cheating husbands!" crap? Most transsexuals are not flamboyant, most are not in the sex trade, most are not anything like what you see on Springer, but that's the image everyone has of them because that's the only image they ever see. Maybe Springer should use his radio show to apologize for that.
