Springfield's New FOX affiliate

I've been hearing how Springfield will soon have its own FOX affiliate of sorts. When they come on the air, will they identify as WGGB-DT 40.2 or will they get different call letters? Also, is it known if this station will identify with a cable positioner like WSHM-LP channel 67, a.k.a. "CBS 3", does?

They would identify on your TV set as channel 40.2. Officially, they would be under the WGGB callsign. However, they may identify otherwise for marketing brand purposes. Example: KECY-TV in El Centro, CA / Yuma, AZ has their primary Fox affiliate on channel 9.1, an ABC feed on 9.2, and a Telemundo feed on 9.3. Fox identifies as Fox 9, ABC as ABC 5 (cable position) and Telemundo as KESE-DT, a simulcast of LPTV station KESE-LP in Yuma.

In the past weeks or so, I've been having odd issues with the numbers that resolve on my DTV converter, like WUVN-DT 46 is actually now showing up as 46 instead of 18 (could be WUVN at fault), so I've been doing frequent rescans lately, and this evening I noticed that 55.1 is resolving as WGGBDT1 and now 55.2 is back but as WGGBDT2 and is showing promos for the new FOX Springfield. "Coming soon"
