WFAN's STEVE SOMERS reports that BILL THE BAKER, WFAN caller, was a victim of a hit & run automobile accident over the weekend. Bill is in critical but stable condition at a Long Island hospital. Our prayers go out to Bill. A great caller...More sad news at WFAN. TONY PAIGE lost his dad the other day...Does ANN LIGUORI still have a Sunday shift at WFAN? She's listed on the WFAN Web page but no up coming shows. I'll try to call WFAN PD ERIC SPIZT this week for the skinny...Did ya see the recent cablecast of MIKE & THE MAD DOG with Mike in Astoria & Chris via remote from sister station WTIC-FM/HARTFORD? Cool! They had some audio problems...WFAN's LORI RUBINSON is down in Florida this week checking out the METS...WOR's MICHAEL SAVAGE reports this month will mark 15 years of the SAVAGE NATION! Way to go baby! And Mike has close to 400 stations running the NATION...Call me the unofficial SAVAGE NATION press boy. I've been able to get Mike in the NY DAILY NEWS 3 times. The big one was the day the News wrote about his book "THE POLITICAL ZOO". Savage mentioned the NEWS story as did HOWARD STERN. Hey Mike, next time you visit the BIG APPLE, wanna do lunch?...Did we hear right? March 20th Stern Executive Producer BOY GARY joins the FRIARS CLUB!...BOB COSTAS filmed a scene for the movie "SEMI-PRO" but it wound up on the floor of the editing room. WFAN should air his weekend radio show COSTAS ON THE RADIO. Two hours of great talk.
