Sprint Launches Soon To Be Mandatory Emergency Alert Messages

Actually, the cell phone alert is one of the most useful.

Cable and Satellite are the first to go out in bad weather here. Not many have local antenna's here, as they get HD Locals via cable or satellite.

Radio stays on (all of our stations have generators). Cell phone coverage stays just fine as well (in my market). In a true emergency, the phone and the radio are the two most reliable methods.

Alex Jones can make "The Doctor slapping the newborn's tushie" sound like a "Major Nuclear Assault". ;D
Too bad he can't locate a competent ENT near him. His throat is shot.

(Or, maybe, Obama has put acid in his coffee.)
