SS32 questions

So we're using SS32 for automation. A couple questions that I've been trying to find some information about for a while:

VoiceTracker 32: Where can I get it? Is this something WO offers for free at this point since the system is relatively old? Is there anywhere I could get it for free, or does it require a hardware key or something?

Also, I pulled the SS32 studio machine out of it's spot in the rack yesterday, hoping to find a contact closure I could use to light up a MAN mode tally light. Unfortunately, there weren't any pins on the back. Does this mean I need to get ahold of some sort of hardware compatible with the SS32 and plug it in to one of the COM ports?

And finally: SS32 Everywhere. Has anyone ever used it? Is there any advantage to using it vs. just running a VNC server on the SS32 machine?

Thanks again. I know this is my second new thread in one day, but I just have so many questions that I can't seem to get answers to through my own research! Your time is really, really appreciated.

Is the station paying for support? As I recall, it was something
like 1200/yr. Well worth it. As i recall we paid extra for vt32 and
it was licensed using the serial of the asi card in the machine...via phone
with support.

In our case VT32 was preinstalled....but we had to reinstall when one asi card bit the dust.

VT32 was optional. If you have two audio cards you probably have it, or if you have a production machine from them with an ASI card it might be there. You can still probably add a card and buy a license.

For relays, it will talk serial to a broadcast tools ACS 8.2 or 16.4. There was also an AT1616 and an SRC32. You could also use it to turn your console channels on. ;)

SS Everywhere worked, but if you know VNC, save yourself the time and disappointment. It was meant for dialup connections, thus limited capabilities.

Do NOT use remote desktop.
