STA for 1250 KDEI Port Arthur

For those wanting to see how good they can DX at night, KDEI in Port Arthur (1250) is running at reduced power under a STA 24hrs (Not sure why they dropped day power from 5KW to 1KW)..The reason for the STA is their 500ft tower in the 2 tower array was damaged by Rita and finally was taken down (regardless of their filing with the FCC, Katrina had NOTHING to do with the tower damage!! Yet, they claim in the filing it did...BULL!) so all they have is the shorter 1/4wave tower.....their night power is down from 1KW to 250watts omni...if you want to listen for Catholic chanting on the freq, you'll know you found it...(Hey I survived the nuns too!)
They asked for 60 days but the clock has been ticking already for a while...I feel an extension request being filed soon....I seriously doubt they will get the new tower up before the 60days have expired.
