Thank you for listening to 104.9 the River. Welcoming in a New Year always seems to be associated with “change”. Some have committed to a healthier diet and exercise. And others are focusing on saving more and spending less. Scott and I are making a change too. We’ll be saying good-bye soon, and we wanted to make sure that you knew that we’re really excited about this change. And we wanted to be able to thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life during the past 15 months.
See, we offer our morning show from Seattle to other stations in America. So, we get to continue doing what we love and are called to do – just not here in Columbus anymore. But, that’s okay. Because God is all about change…and He’s all about what’s happening at 104.9 the River.
See, a familiar voice is returning to Columbus morning radio on Monday, January 5th. And this time she’ll be sharing her day with you…here on 104.9 the River. Please join us in welcoming Stacy McKay!

God Bless You!
Scott and Sam

Hey :) Gotta give them credit, their honest not saying "we are local"

I wonder if they achieved what they were trying to accomplish by going with a syndicated morning show, or did they change their minds on which direction they were going. Either way, its good to have some local personality back on in the mornings.

Stacy is no stranger to Christian radio as she was morning show host and PD at WTLT back in the 90's before she landed at WSNY...and I'll add that she did a fantastic job too.

Congrats to CVO for bringing in a quality pro like Stacy.

Wasn't Stacy also at 103.1 WTJY for awhile when Salem owned it running a Christian AC format?

I can't remember completely at this point.

But yes, Congrats WCVO!.

Nice lady and nice voice. I met her once at a Columbus Chill Game. YES.........Columbus Chill, when we really had a Hockey team.

I wish her luck.

Stacy started on the River Monday morning... has anyone been able to catch a listen?... Wondering what your thoughts are.

It sounds A LOT like everything she has done for the last 15 years or so...except this time she is saying something about 104.9 instead of some other station.

Sorry for the sarcasm.

I just think that you could plug her or any other jock into multiple formats and because the formats are so similar, you would hear the same thing.

Ok, this is could sound snarky, but what happened to staying at home and being a mother to her child? It seemed to be presented as something really important. (I've heard that comment now from more than one person)

Or was that a nice way to say I want out of Sunny?
