Stacy is a good guy, I always liked him. I DON'T agree with him politically, but he was a good guy to work with....especially when he got rid of Scooter! I think it was a big mistake for him to leave KOGO to go to the second highest dial position on AM.
Concerning the Walrus, who could they layoff?? the only one that comes to mind is the PD, Bob. If Lynch let him go they could have Mason be PD and mornings. But Frank is already working double shifts, Mason would do double if asked (hes one of the most dedicated broadcasters in the business). But cutting back from the Walrus is like saying that they need to cut back on engineering at BCA...What, you get rid of Lipis?? There are really great people in that building Mason, Frank, and Lipis are just a few and they are as good as it gets!
You know they should turn 1700 into completely liberal talk. KLSD had over a 2 share for the most part during its progressive talk phase (you can sell a 2 you can't sell a zero!). The worst thing with KLSD is that it was ran like a hobby. The satellite feeds sounded very choppy on the air. But the format WAS and IS sell-able. KLSD cost literally nothing to run, just turn on the sat feeds and let it go! I don't see anything else to do with 1700 except let it go Hispanic.
