Just in time for the start of the book,...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Cheap ratings stunt, anyone?

He looks like he's gained a few pounds since Rochester was graced with his presence the last time. Ratings stunt? Absolutely. I've been looking at this CW morning thing and Stan can only add another comic relief to what is already a hard show to watch. The other day I tuned in and they had on some guy who was mixing drinks!! At 8am, there's someone showing Holly and Evan how to sling back vodkas and champagne!! I know it's 5 o'clock somewhere, but that's a little ridiculous. You would think that as the Exec Producer of that show, Mike DiGiorgio would excercise some control into what goes on the air. So far, I'm not impressed. While I'm thinking of it, I'm even less impressed with Channel 8's product. First day of the book and they have....ta da....a full story of some delivery truck stuck under a bridge. Are you kidding me?? Who decided that was worthy of a 1:20 pkg? If this is what 8's bringing to the table this book, they can kiss those November numbers goodbye. 10 was off to their usual Magid "scare the bejesus outta your viewers" stories with Brett D. kicking off the book with a story about sex offenders who are trolling on MySpace and FaceBook. It was the typical "knock-on-your-nearest-sex offender's front door-interview". Whatever. Fasten yer seats market 78, it's gonna be a bumpy ride....

Regarding your comment about Channel 8's product, tell me did you expect more from them?
That station, to the best of my knowledge, is still looking for a news director. Does 8 even have an assignment editor? And if so I am willing to bet it is someone with little or no professional experience. 8 and 31 reminds me of two canoes without oars; just floating in the water, going no where. As to Stan Munro, I never watched him so I have no comment on his work. What is he supposed to be anyways, comic relief mixed in with 13's morning news?
