Stan Wall

In the Roots Of rock and Roll Program 3/3/12, It Lists Stan Wall as Being On the Radio over 50 Years. But in 1971 He Built his Own Station [ Who Would Fire Him ? ] Charlie Apple Started at WRCT in the 60's in 1966 he was on WPSL 1510 From 4pm to 7 pm Mon Thru Fri. and 2 pm to 7pm on Saturday"s. in the Mid 70 he was only on Saturday 2p to 7p. In 1979 when Mr. Sylvis Passed away and WPSL was Sold, Charlie moved to WKPA 1150 Saturday's. when WKPA Changed Hands he Moved to WLSW And Helped Make it one of the Best Weekend Oldies Stations In the Tri State. Starting Charlie and Jeff Sunday's showcase of Great local Oldies DJ's. Charlie Still Does Parties and Events He is Very Active in The Community. He Was a Full Time Teacher, Is an Ordained Minister. And I Believe he has Close to if not Over 50 Years of Non Stop Radio Broadcasting In Western Pa.
 
I worked with Stan in the mid sixties when he did weekend news for us at KQV. I think his full-time gig was at WHJB.
 
Stan Was "Jeff Michaels" on WZUM in 1968/69, He Did Saturday's from 10am to 1 pm. He was Also one of the Original Applicants for WBCW 1530 in Jeannette in 1970 Working With Al Calisti.Who Advised him to Apply for 103.9 FM. Al Helped Build The station. At That Time he was GM of WTRA 1480 Latrobe.
