P.S. There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back by Shawn Mendes was the last song played on Star 102.1 before the abrupt flip to Christmas music.

Something tells me this is still too early.
star1021.iheart.com

at this point, the holidays season starts on October 31, aka Halloween. the stores get into Christmas mode in September, media gets into it on November 1. next year, Star 102.1 needs to do the Christmas flip on November 1.

How's KLUV announced when they are starting the Christmas music? Last year, I thought they and Star flipped within a couple of hours of each other.

it's the day after Christmas and at midnight last night into this morning, Star 102.1 reverted back to it's normal format as it's playlist has stopped playing all Christmas music for this year, see you next fall Christmas music on 102.1 or any other DFW station. now we count down until the new decade. so will we see one more format flip for the year 2019/the decades 2010s or does the next format flip in DFW happen next year making it the first format flip of the year 2020/the decade 2020s.

I seldom compliment iHeart, but dumping the lousy Alternative format in favor of Mainstream AC was a BRILLIANT move.

It still bothers me that they still say the line "80s, 90s, and Today" like it's 2005. We're in 2020 already. That line doesn't work anymore. I'd be okay if it's "Today's Hits and Yesterday's Favorites" instead but what do I know about radio.
