star 102.5

On Sunday, so I flip the scan button hear the
tiresome lyrics, " no i dont have a gun..."
come as u are - nirvana..and meh good as any,
and see it says star on the dash radio board that
is fancy in my mid 2000 car...

So thinking it has updated yet...and it was "star"
from the last song WEDG play, i hit seek and it stops
on 103.3, so i flipppp it bck to wtss...

Immediate thought: format change?
waits...waits, the annoying and cliche
jingle proves NO format change...

Unusual song for star?
Gut reaction yes.
after some careful consideration, not so much..
a song from 20 years ago..to an audience in the early 30s..

Thoughts?

PS
if they did flip, and did play Alternative
i still think of the star used at 98.7 in Los Angeles

When on Sunday? Was it regular programming done by the Star MD? Or a special radio program?
Sometimes coast to coast programming of various sorts slip in a song or two that do not fit the format...
