Star 93.5 #1 in Arbitrons!

Ha ha, made you look! Anyway, here's part one of the latest Arbies:

1. WJMI-FM (up)
2. WHLH-FM (flat)
3. WKXI-FM (up)
4. WMSI-FM (down)
5. WYOY-FM (up)
6. WWJK-FM (down)
7. WUSJ-FM (down)
8. WSTZ-FM (flat)
9. WOAD-FM/WOAD-AM (down)
10. WQJQ-FM (up)
11. WJKK-FM (down)
12. WFMN-FM (flat)
13. WRJH-FM (down)
14t. WJNT-AM (down), WRXW-FM (down)
16. WHJT-FM (down)
17. WMGO-AM (down)
18. WJDX-AM (up)
19t. WJXN-FM (down), 20. WKXI-AM (up)
21. WZRX-AM (flat)
22. WTWZ-AM (re-entry)

No real surprises in this trend. WSTZ's decision to go classic rock didn't seem to hurt them, although they didn't gain any traction either. WRXW was probably hurt by the decision, depending how many of the upper demos left to go back to Z.

Where is WSFZ? This is the trend where the Mississippi Braves began its first season. WJDX got a boost, maybe from Mississippi State and Atlanta Braves baseball.

Overall, not a very good book for Jackson radio overall.
______________

> Not meaning to be ticky, but please remember, this is not a "book"! Please repeat after me: This is a Trend. If this had been an actual Arbitron, it would have more weight. Or, at least weight would be added to get those "non urban" numbers up.

Who knows. The once great 930 has been bottom feeding for years. Especially after Farmer Jim retired. I'm not sure what they did with their signal but it sucks really bad. It's audio is also not as loud as it once was. I remember listening to it as a kid and it had a killer signal where I live. It's only a shell of its former glory. And who is the knucklehead that changed the classic WSLI call letters to WSFZ. Thats sacriledge. WSLI was one of the oldest stations in Jackson.

number one with 12 year old christian girls maybe. but no other demo!! :)
i couldnt listen for more than 5 minutes the other day in jackson!! congrats to y101! you have your act together!!

deep tracks xm 40 for those who arent single minded

Y's got their act together??? Why? Because they're up a "wiiiiiddle bit" in 12 plus trends?

Can someone please explain to me why a radio station would "marry" a TV station to get news, weather and traffic? You might as well go on the air and admit that you either don't care enough to get your own news, weather or traffic, or you're incapable of it. I think that's the dumbest thing Eddie Holliday's Ramblin Road Radio "Showgram" (whatever that is...) could have done. Speaking of which, has anyone heard about the switch in Meridian with NewSouth's oldies' station flipping to a Jack spin off called SAM? I heard that a week or so ago and was curious.
