Star 94 Mornings

A few weeks after Star 94 launched its Rhythmic AC format, Cannon returned to his afternoon shift with minimum talk, but at least he was there. Mornings, however, were basically music with traffic reports. Jenn Hobby would come on occasionally with recorded trivia questions but was not doing a show. Recently they put Jenn back live in the morning but with minimum talk and no supporting cast, which I think is appropriate for the format.

This was the right move, but the music had been established for months. Why did they wait so long?

With a live jock in mornings and afternoons and pure music everywhere else, Star probably has struck the right balance on a format where the music is the main attraction.

Will putting Jenn back in mornings increase ratings? My guess is not much, but who knows?

I don't know if Jenn will, but IMHO this would be the prefect gig for someone who could do funny bits. 20 good minutes of material would be doable, 3 or 4 hours 5 days a week impossible.
