I forgot Star 94 played Stone Temple Pilots at all. A very interesting snapshot of that time period in Atlanta radio.

These days, a radio station with the likes of STP, Janet Jackson and Billy Joel co-existing is unheard of!

I think they were playing the accoustic version of STP's "Plush" as quite a few CHRs went with that version instead of the original one.
A few months earlier Star 94 even played Snow's "Informer" and Arrested Developement's "Mr. Wendal", and Neneh Cherry's "Buddy X", as well as Aerosmith's "Livin On The Edge".
In mid 1994 Lee Chestnut took the regin as PD of Star 94 and it had much more of an Adult CHR sound.

...And a few months earlier Tony Toni Tone "If I Had No Loot." Man I remember that Dino song being played all summer long. I also remember my first summer here in Atlanta hearing UB40's "Can't Help Falling in Love", Human League "Tell Me When", and Roxette's "Joy Ride." The Tears for Fears song I remember played over and over that Summer of 93 also.
