Star 94's Marino & Song Intros

I've been listening to Star 94's new afternoon talent, Marino, and he sounds excellent. I was hoping for a bit more personality mixed in--he does a little--but that may come as he settles in.

Also...I've been hearing little jingles over the ramps to song intros--Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5 are two that I heard today--that sing Star 94 but sound like the songs they're leading into. There have been a number of versions of these things starting in the 70s, but they sound oh so cool. Love 'em.
 
Sounds like the old Pop Tops--"we built Atlanta on rock and roll, Atlanta's hit radio Z-93"

Also, Rock100.5 has started using the same automated artist and title inserts at the end of each song (at least the non-classic stuff, i.e., no "Led Zeppelin, Stairway To Heaven") that The Fish has used for a while now. Sounds like the same VO artist, too.
 
Those custom intros are from a service call Reel World, which Star started using when I was Creative Director way back when....
 
Hey Roddy I'm Creative Director/Production Director For ClearChannel Hartford CT. ( WKSS, WHCN, WWYZ, WUCS, WPOP, WKCI, WAVZ, WELI) Mike Wheeler is OM here, he came from CBS Atlanta and I was his APD in St Louis at KSD-FM 15 years ago...
