Star 94's Morning Mess: Pranks on the 20s

In comparing Tuesday's Star 94 The Morning Mess' Prank On The 20:

If I didn't know any better, the person (the owner, operator, or employee of the respective business The Morning Mess is calling to prank) sounds like the SAME person on BOTH calls!

Hey, you don't think these calls are staged, do you? I'm shattered! After losing faith in so many things in society and this world, the one thing I though I could count on, Pranks on the 20s is suspect to be a fraud!

What Star should do is a version of "War of The Roses" with the end of each call Miss Cleo popping in to foretell that "you will receive a prank call." Lo and behold, a prank call is then placed to the couple whose life was just ruined in "War of The Roses". Yeah, that would be great radio, "War of The Roses", Pranks, and Miss Cleo combined!

... or maybe not.

Excellent call out. Glad to see Star 94 doesn't have the common sense to at least be judgmental in what is posted online.
 
I have always thought these prank calls were fakes, not just on this show either. They are all pretty much lame, so I wish the radio stations would stop doing them. The "zany" thing is quite old.

I guess this means "prank" refers to us listeners being pranked.

In all the comments and criticism of the show, I haven't seen any opinions specifically about Shannon. Personally, I love how she sounds.
 
I think Shannon has a good radio voice and an infectious laugh. She definitely has a midwestern twang, though, which can make some words she says hard to understand. Overall, I think she's very listenable. (...if that's a word..)
 
Bad choice of words on my part - thinking about, and talking about coldcuts make me say things I shouldn't say......
But even nice girls can wear spam.....

I agree she has a good voice but the laugh reminds me of Bart Simpson. Seriously.
 
"Pranks" should be eliminated as they already repeat so many as it is. :(

Shannon does appear to be the brightest star of the mess. I just wish her an Mikey had a little more to do than clap whenever Marco talks. I mean really. All the clapping has got to stop.

Maybe I should just get a new clock radio. ;D
 
Star has been using pre-recorded listener call-in's and requests for years, only they are recorded by interns sitting right outside the studio. No one ever calls that station. It doesn't suprise me that they now don't even call out anymore. This new morning "show" is nothing more than an opinionated jerk and two clap happy idiots in the background.

I think Shannon is the best voice and personality of the Morning Mess.

Marco is stuck in the 90's from his regimented old- school Pranks from the 90's.
I don't listen often but when I do tune in, I can't tell which guy is talking....Marco and Super-Phat Mikey.
And the name Super-Phat Mikey is sort of insult to him and their super fat listeners as well..
Fat Kid from the old 99x days was a caricature and a little crazy

But Super Phat Mikey seems just to be a nice fat guy.

Star - Wipe out this Mess and go AC befre The Bull does. You might even gain a full point.
Because Steve and Vicki is going to take you down even more come July 1.
