Star and BucWild to Return to Airwaves

I Doubt it would be NYC based.

What is left

I don't See Star Returning to Hot97 or Replacing Steve Harvey on WBLS

WJMN Boston Maybe?

I Honesty thought he would end up on XM Uncensored

Let's see... An FM station... With a diverse audience... And has virtually no limits as to what the hosts can say...

Watch it be WBAI.

No it's 93.5 after the immigration lawyer show and before the multi vitamin hour:)

It's the trendy answer since O&A have been dropping stations left and right across the country...

Oh, and add to that the fact that K-Rock's current PD used to work with S&BW back at Hot 97... That pretty much sweetens my prediction the duo will land at K-Rock...

FWIW, keep in mind Star is a fan of rock music. Remember when he used to play Rush songs during his Hot 97 show?

a friend tells me he cannot hear WNYZ-fm 87.7 on the east side of manhattan at all. what audio power is WNYZ-TV/FM putting out and from where and who's the owner?

"WNYZ" (Channel 6) right now does Russian pop music programming. They broadcast from the Citibank tower in Long Island City.

Supposedly the owner of Channel 6 had signed a 5-year contract with the Russian group to continue the format, but apparently now they want to change it to Top-40.

And yes, I know, Channel 6 has poor reception in MOST of Manhattan, especially the west side.

WNYZ doesn't seem like a logical home for any long term programming - what happens when the analog sunset on television occurs in 2009? You're stuck with a digital allocation that cannot be received on any radios.

There's even a construction permit for the TV station to have a digital channel -- still on channel 6...

what's the power of tv6/ 87.7 fm? must be very low if it can't reach into manhattan's east side from long island city just across the east river. and who's the owner? if they have $$$ to piss away---they can give me some!

1. This thread is reserved for discussion about Star & Buc Wild's return to radio. It is not intended to discuss WNYZ, nor has it even been confirmed that Star & Buc Wild would even be bringing their show to a "station" with such a limited signal.

Well, it would be interesting to see what happens with Star. I personally think he'd be awesome right after Imus on a talk station. Think about this, a talk station featuring Imus in the morning, Star middays, O&A drivetimes....? Would sure bring back the younger demos to AM radio. 8)
