Star, Off From WWPR-FM (Power 1051).

Star who does a daily morning show on Power 1051 was taken off the air because he made an on air threat against the daughter of DJ Envy on (Hot 97) WQHT.Clear Channel which owns Power 1051 placed Star on suspension pending an investigation.Thanks,Kevin L. Sealy
 
I'm seeing the report on Fox5 now... They are saying he was fired.How bad was it? I saw the report, and it sounded entirely messed up and not "in jest" a la Jim Norton making a joke about "yellow treats, el oh el"Did Fox5 cherry pick and take things out of context, or was it really that bad?

As of late this afternoon, heis no longer with Power 105.1 or Clear Channel Radio. We sincerelyapologize to those who may have been offended by his remarks."According to Josefa Paganuzzi, spokesperson for Clear Channel/New York, therest of the Star & Bucwild morning team are "on suspension until furtherinvestigation happens."On Monday, Torain, who has been exchanging verbal insults on air with DJEnvy of cross-town Emmis CHR/Rhythmic WQHT (Hot 97), made severalthreatening and sexually charge remarks about Envy's young daughter.According to sources, a listener then complained to a New York CityCouncilman, who called John Hogan, CEO of Clear Channel, demanding Star'sdismissal. As of today, Premiere has only told affiliates that the show issuspended indefinitely. Stations are responsible to put in their ownreplacement for the time the show does not air. Calls for comment to Star'smanager, Wyatt Cheeks, were unreturned at press time.

Apparently not. This was the second Buc Wild, from what I've read, and he mainly had a quiet, secondary role. This was completely Star's deal.
 
maybe we might see ed lover and dr. dre or ed lover and monie love as the morning show?
 
Maybe they will just play music. People would like that in the morning instead of the stupid talking of these hosts.

??? The people at WPHH-FM 104.1 of Waterbury/Hartford (Urban Contemporary "Power 104.1") are screwed. They already had Dee Snider and then Bubba The Love Sponge. What the hell are they gonna do now?

If Emmis is smart they hire him RIGHT NOW and throw him back on Hot 97!. Yeah he got fired from there for his comments before, yeah they have enough problems with their reputation and many incidents inside and outside their studio but Power's only shot at getting near Hot came from Star and Buc. They are a phenomenon, period. Now he's eligible to go to one of Howard's channels! the criteria seems to be that you have to be and F up and you have to have been fired (Bubba, Farell) it's like the island of misfit toys!. I would love to see Howard have him on and let him rant against clear channel etc, even though he clearly went way too far, im sure he'll have plenty to say about the company etc. 8)
 
Is it true that CC was paying that stupid little shit stain over four million $ a year?

Does anyone think Star and Buc Wild could return to radio? I don't thing they would be wanted back. They first got fired from Hot 97 and now Power 105.1, I don't think CBS Radio would want him working for him after they got Howard Stern off the air but then again they do have Opie back.
