Star Trek: The Next Generation theme on The Price is Right from 1981

I found a website that features clips from old episodes of The Price is Right. On a clip from March 1981, I found a clip that includes part of the theme from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Here is the location of the clip: http://70.84.119.226/~evemag/media_tpir/priceclips.htm

Find the clip from the episode from March 16, 1981 (the 4th episode down). Click on the link for "Showcase and Close." It is the first music bed used in the showcase.
______________

The theme used for "Star Trek: The Next Generation" was first used (I believe) during the opening credits of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" in 1979.

Ah, that would explain it.

Note the Super 8 movie camera, projector and screen. To think that those were replaced by camcorders just a few years later.

I can't get the video part of the files to work, only the audio.
______________
