Starguide...CNN...downloading?

Our Starguide receiver has crashed on us. We use this for CNN feed.
Can anyone suggest a way of download automatically the CNN top of
hour cast to Audio Vault - automatically...or better yet grabbing from
their site using radiospider program and loading into Vault. Would like
to have this option when Starguide goes down.

Is CNN really LIVE as they say they are? We hit it at the top every hour.
Play the spots right after 2 minute feed from dish. I'd like to move spots
elsewhere in hour. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I haven't used the CNN feeds so I'm not up on how they do things but........

first thing I would do is check with CNN to see if they have a "spot feed" sometime during the day. A couple of stations that I used to work for (different news network feeds) were able to capture a spot feed and load them into the system for playback on their schedule. You could also see if you were allowed to "tape delay" the top of the hour newscast - that way wou wouldn't be trying to hit a hard time and have to fade out music to do it (depending on your format).

Does Audiovault allow you to do unattended recording for net delay feeds? If so yo umight be able to have an interface to allow it to capture audio from where you want it to.

I'm wanting to download cast from FTP or their website.

This is when we have lost the satelllite feed and can use this
as backup. We already have AV recording cast ... but when the
dish is down ... this won't work.

Thanks
