Starguide III

Do any of those networks (premiere, Westwood, abc)provide starguide recievers with their programs... or is the station always responsible for the cost?

Also--does anyone out there have a used reciever they are trying to get rid of?

Most syndicators will provide a receiver, but they retain ownership of it. If you drop the programming, you have to return the receiver.

Yes they will provide the reciever for you-it's been my experience that you usually have to get the equipment from the network because they program and pre-configure it to allow whatever programming you're getting from them. Some companies have begun to require that stations purchase the equipment but I think that Westwood One and ABC do not. It may also depend on the size and reach of the station as to how much they will sweeten the deal. I'd contact an affiliate that's already running the programming you're interested in using and talk to the Engineer. They're usually nice folks more than willing to help a fellow broadcaster.

Some charge you for it, some dont. Usually, the ones that do charge.. it's built into whatever you pay per month.

Drop me a line, [email protected] I might be able to help you find a SG3
