I am the instructor for a start-up streaming college station.
We have no music other than what I've been able to gather.
Does anyone have a contact list for getting music service?

It really depends on what you want to do. What format/formats are you trying to fall into? If you are going with independent music, they'll send you anything but the toilet most of it is produced in. There is some good independent music, but for one good artist I have found, there are 200 that are horrible, in my mind anyway.
Good luck!

We are R&B, hip-hop, and Top 40 mostly.
Some shows are 80's, but we have a ton of that!

> Purchase a CMJ subscription. Then report on a regular basis what you are playing to CMJ. This is the easiest way to get all major distributers to send you stuff, as well as the bigger indies.

In addition to what the other posters have already written, try contacting the fine folks at IBS (www.ibsradio.org)...they may be able to provide you with contacts and such. Also, the annual college radio conference sponsored by IBS is coming up soon, it's well attended by folks in the music industry as well as from college stations across the country, so it's a good chance to make connections and spend a weekend in NYC. Good luck!
