Starting Christmas Music Too Early...

Here's another idea: Maybe Y and Mix jumped on the format not expecting Kiss to bring it back? Although, when I heard that Mix was picking up Delilah, I figured they'd pick up the format; Delilah's been running her all-Christmas feed since about the time Sunny used to start playing Christmas. Even before WMAG itself went all-Christmas, Delilah was doing all-Christmas on her show.
 
Christmas music, like eggnog, should be enjoyed in moderation. Once upon a time, a holiday song was played maybe once an hour until just before Christmas or on Christmas day, when it was more like one every quarter hour. Now, Clear channel is intent on destroying Christmas music for everyone. Especially that insufferable WMAG. I would rather have a tooth drilled without novacain than listen to that station during the holidays. And that smarmy, unctuous Rod Davis....Radio this bad doesn't happen by accident. I think Clear channel is in cahoots with Al Quaida.

I would have to say that I agree with you Big Doug. Although, is it really necessary to use two large words that mean the same thing to describe a station that sucks?
 
::) Oh, Is that what it means.. Ya Ever been to Christmas Florida..It's near Orlando. Sheesh.. They have decorations up all year and godzillions of people flood the post office to have Christmas postmarked..Maybe one of the floundering Orlando stations can move their and play Christmas Music year round..

I agree, Rod Davis needs to go along with raisen shriveled..May Cay Beeler..Those ads are terrible! Just ranting..Big Ape..

Years ago tried to hire Rod Davis from WIAM in Williamston. Had offers from every major market but came to WFMY PM Magazine then to WMAG One of the survivors. Everyone thought he was WKIX's Dale Van Horn. But he's still here.
 
;D I don't remember Rod being with Brown.. What I didn't know was May Cay was a licensed Commericial Pilot..I ran across that on her website. I was making fun of the "ReBath Spots. Regarding WFMY's PM Magazine..MayCay was co-host with Greg Hunter..I don't recall Rod ever doing that?
 
Rod came to the Triad to KZL after being found on "little radio" out east by Doug Paul. Brown hired him and the rest is history. Rod was there when Chuck Holloway, Kitty Kinnin, Doug Paul, was in the house. Yes he did PM mag for a while and then thought he was destined for stardom.
