State broadcasters take on indecency

The vast majority of state broadcast associations collaborated on reply comments pertaining to the FCC’s indecency proceedings. Concerned about interminable FCC review of complaints, the coalition proposed standards going forward and a method of disposition for matters yet pending.

I read the attached article, and (of course) there was only one comment.... a far-rightist comment about abolishing government, state's rights, and gay marriage.
Whew!
When this was all open for FCC Comments, how many hundreds of thousands of those same kinds of (mostly "cut-and-paste", duplicate) comments were filed?
Can the FCC really take any of this seriously? Hopefully, they will listen to the State broadcasters.
