Just wondering if anyone tell me just what the state of DTV is in Montreal.I've heard rumor that a couple of stations are on lower power *not* from Mount Royal - is that true? Will they be going to full Power up on the big hill at some point?Yours, from south of the border,Joe

I see we have a lot of interest in DTV in Montreal<grin>!

Four stations are authorized:
CBFT (analog 2): ch. 19, 250kw/300m at the analog site. However, they also have a temporary operation at 16.6kw/111m at 45-31-05/73-33-04. No other broadcast station (except CBMT-DT) is at this site.

CBMT (analog 6) ch. 20, 107kw/300m at the analog site. However, they also have a temporary operation at 5.5kw/104m at 45-31-05/73-33-04. No other broadcast station (except CBFT-DT) is at this site.

CFJP (analog 35) ch. 42, 7kw/302m at the analog site.

CFTM (analog 10) ch. 59, 10kw/42m at 45-31-19/73-33-18. No other broadcast station is at this site.

All four are listed as "authorized", I suppose that's pretty much the same as "CP" (Construction Permit) in the U.S.. I suspect the two CBC stations are in fact using their temporary facilities.
