State of Radio

Seems like everyday I read about more "shows" being syndicated (Ryan Seacrest, Fred Thompson, Clark Howard etc.), It also appears more and more stations believe this is the way to make money and get them out of the declining funds they can generate locally.
I'm feeling like radio is headed for Nationalization.
No more live, local stations. Simply cookie cutter stations all over the country, like XMSirius tried to do.

Headed for nationalization? We're already there. Been there for quite a while. SiriusXM does not fit in the equation because it is by definition a national radio service.
