Static anyone?

After reading a lot of these posts and just watching from the sidelines, its a little hard to over look this fact. The Revolution has a bad static sound when I listen to it, compared to Hot 103 which has a much more pure sound with lots of bass. Yes, when your traveling to Harrisburg, you can reach The Revolution right up to Clarks Ferry Bridge, and Hot 103 dumps out right around the Watts exit, but at least Hot has a much clear sound. The Revolution always has a static sound to it. Heck, WCHX in Burnham sounds like its being processed thru tin cans and it sounds better than 101's sound! I don't mean to knock the Rev, but everyone who "works" there claims how it sounds the best, and I beg to differ. Does anyone else notice this?
On a side note, Revolution has come along way with how they used to sound. Kudo's to that!! I remember not being able to get good reception unless we went to the top of a mountain and listened in the car.

Rev did pick up the last part of the digital Link last week and put it in. It failed so they are on the two channel with issues on the one side. Yes if the modulation goes down on the one STL the signal to noise on the one side comes up and the processer pumps up the hiss. We are hitting the issue this week. I can see your point and 103 does sound fine. 97% of the time so does rev but that one time OHP has a bad mix or we do it sucks that his up and everybody bitches. Fact is it will be gone this week, give us you honest opinion on the Omnia verses Optimod battle then. Revs Omnia shoud do waht they do in New York and Phily. Both sound great if the stuff going in dont have a signal to noise issue. CHX gets out well and is clear but does sound very plain I guess...I was told it was a Aphex box.

Just one paragraph and not even from Stevo!

That's the "Power Hiss". They took it off 'IYQ when they sold it and moved it over to GMR.

Truthfully I can't give any opinion on the Omnia vs. Optimod battle, when it comes that tech stuff, I'm still clueless...give me a few years and i'll get back to ya on that, I'm a "yungin".;) Why has this issue never been fixed before though when it has been a constant for the past year?
