KPRC turns 82 today, May 9. KLVL-AM turned 57 last Saturday, Cinco de Mayo. Brief accounts on my blog.
 
What supposedly happened on the 8th? Why was that date significant? To me, the anniversary date is when the call letters changed. See the blog today.

For those who didn't 'tune-in,' 1590's anniversary was over the weekend and there's one more to celebrate before this week is out.
