Station announcement at The Ticket

Given the time, I presume it will be a permanent co-host for Donovan Lewis. Perhaps announcing that he and whoever will fill the 10-3 slot instead of two shows from 10-noon and noon-3

Format change if I had to assume. The freak took out the ticket - who knew
You don't pre-sell a format change to current listeners. All you do with that is piss them off.

Ah yes, the good old station that set a station record high rating just two months ago gets taken out by the station currently ranked 30th in the market. Just the way it always happens...

I do enjoy a good David and Goliath story. (y)

To be fair I think Loveofradio was joking but that’s never clear on the Internet unless you lay it on really thick.

My guess is a lineup modification, although it would certainly be amusing if the addition of 93.3 as a simulcaster were the announcement.

Don't forget - the station just lost a couple folks due to a contract renewal impasse.

I strongly doubt it will ever happen, but a trimulcast involving 93.3 would allow Cumulus to see which frequency most of the listeners are using. If 93.3 was to far outstrip 96.7, it would present some options for 96.7, including a sale to EMF.

EMF may not desire a rimshot in DFW, but sometimes you gotta take what you can get. They just bought a rimshot in Houston.

This “station announcement” will likely turn out to be a nothingburger, just like the last one was.

Matt McLearen may on his way back.

If it was a major announcement like adding a frequency it would air at the ever popular 7:20. Because it's 10am, it is a midday shift change.

Matt McClearlin and Donovon Lewis 10a-1p. Sean Bass and David Mino 1p-3p. So i was right when I read that Matt quit his gig in JOX 94.5 in Birmingham on this past Friday.
