If it's been silent since last november, they may be doing their once a year broadcast to keep the license active

RFLA

EDIT- It's been off the air since October 22,2004 and would have had to sign on within the next couple of weeks to keep the license but the FCC Gods shined down on church point and issued them a STA October 6th that's good until April. The "anointing oil" that they sell on WNDC must work after all!
(Forgive me, I just had a Shadow Traffic flashback)
Have a blessed day.

Hey all, first time poster here. I heard you all were noticing WNDC back on the air and I had to come check it out, well, I am one of the responsible parties hehe. I work for MP&A engineering firm here in Baton Rouge and we are the ones who have the folks over at NDC back up for the time being.

We have their transmitter at our shop and hooked a long wire to it out back with a mini ATU attached to it. Yep, sending it out at a whopping 250 watts! But hey they are on the air and sounding quite good up to about 4 miles we tested and it was still strong

Who was it that said they heard no announcers? We have been calling out the call letters on the hour. Ha! finally some engineers get to actually be on the air for once! How about that eh?!

I hear ya man, no worries.

I do not know what their permanent format will be in the future at WNDC. We are doing what the current owners hired us to do which is to keep them on the air for a certain time frame and we play what the station owners provide.

Thanks for the reply and it is cool to see their is an interest in a station we had something to do with...do you work around the Baton Rouge area as well?

They are still in the process of selling it, so far I think they only have two buyers interested (me being one of them). I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on it unless something happens to the other buyer like failure to get financing. But as of yet I have no idea what they want for it.
