I think WOOF 560 would fetch more than that (pardon the pun). They do have a very good daytime signal considering the terrible ground conductivity in this area.

I think WGZS 700 is more likely. It was listed in the past on one of the online radio broker sites (probably buysellradio.com). It used to be a combo along with WIZB 94.3, but the FM was sold separately to Radio Training Network a year or so back.

I agree. WGZS is the only low freq 1kW day-timer in Dothan. $250K seems steeeeep...it would cost to much to run the damn thing.

At last check, WGZS was broadcasting in Spanish after spending time as an easy listening station. Not sure what will happen once the sale becomes final.

Not to pick nits....but 1.6 kW. You are right though, TOO MUCH $$$$$$

I'd make is a liberal talk station. That'd go over like a fart in church here in Dothan... :)

Just yesterday I was on Westgate PKWY and I saw a sign for "Conservative 89.5 FM"
