Hot Hit Mix 106.1 The Breeze WJBRCan they also use the old WCAU-FM jingles “Hot Hits” modifying it to “Hot and not so hot hits”??
smells like station suicide to meI mean, it has a ring to it. It will be formatted with everything that everyone plays and songs you forgot about. Christmas in July, yacht rock in the summer, the possibilities are endless. Spotify will have nothing on this station.
No where close, everyone has their belt so tight on these thread, that some light humor was needed.Or juvenile trolling
I’ll put it out there: why do some on here *want* to see Rumba fail? Because they’re targeting a different audience than you? Because you want to laugh at iHeart? Because you’re simping for soft rock? Because you’re in denial of changing demos?I mean, it has a ring to it. It will be formatted with everything that everyone plays and songs you forgot about. Not Hits 106!Can they also use the old WCAU-FM jingles “Hot Hits” modifying it to “Hot and not so hot hits”??
I've only ever seen one person beating that drum, though they're certainly known for using (requiring?) multiple handles, so your mileage may vary. Oh, and the answer to your question is racism.I’ll put it out there: why do some on here *want* to see Rumba fail? Because they’re targeting a different audience than you? Just remember: 15th or so in target demo in its last PPM. Not a recipe for sustained success.
Not Hits 106!
If theres one thing im about, its album tracks lolHey they play album tracks!
The only thing the lack of Christmas competition could do to B101 (and really, could they be phoning it in any more than they already are?) is change the flip date. Otherwise, one should assume the Christmas season on B101 will sound quite a lot like it did last year. Their numbers could be a bit higher this year, since WJBR is relegated to an HD side-channel on a different frequency, which most people don't know about and almost certainly can't hear.We know that 106.1 won’t be Christmas music in 2023 since they flipped to Rumba and hasn’t flipped in 2022 so 101.1 will probably adjust due to this as they probably have in 2022.
If there are other stations doing something that could strategically alter a station's plans, it would be malpractice to consider only the date in a Nielsen pamphlet.Isn't the timing of the Christmas flip tied to the start of the holiday Nielsen book rather than what other stations may or may not be doing?
