Station IMAGING packages....

G

Gabba Gabba Hey!

I am looking to get another IMAGING package. Right now, I am having to use POP SPLAT... however, it is just not the same anymore. It use to be a REALLY good imaging package. But, it really sucks now. So, I am looking now for something that could take it's place. Something with a barter deal etc... I would get in on FROSTBYTES, however, another station in the market has all already got it under contract. So, ANY SUGGESTIONS would be greatly appreciated.

Short Bus Radio is really good. It's cheap (minimal barter) and it offers a lot on a weekly basis. It offers sfx, beds, drops and produced sweepers you can drop your calls in (and it gives you just the workparts of the produced sweepers to mix and match with).

This is one of those questions as a producer you'll probably ask yourself once a year. Outside of my job in radio I also run an imaging production company and I've used and tried most of the packages out there

As far as barter packages go by far the two best in my opinion are Chase Cuts and Production Vault which are both through Premiere Radio. http://www.chasecuts.com and http://www.productionvault.com

Short Bus is also pretty good as mentioned above but doesn't have enough cutting edge sound for me. From what I've heard it's requirements on barter are very minimal though.

Our station uses a combination of Chase Cuts & Killerhertz 5. The only drawback to Killerhertz is it's cash but it's worth every penny.

Talk to Sam...I think you'll be impressed and find his work affordable.

I agree with JJ here... Short bus is good to have but it shouldn't be your primary library.

ReelWorld, IQ Beats, and N2Effect are very good.

Let's not forget about TM Century's comeback package of the decade - Kissville. Above and beyond anything else.

KISSVILLE sounds really amateur. Reel World One blows it away.

As far as imaging packages, I agree with those who have already mentioned Production Vault. Chase Cuts just doesn't do it for me anymore.

I love the ReelWorld one jingles. I am still waiting on KDWB to air them still.

Say while I am here, does any one know where I can get a copy of KDWB's 2001 Jam Jingles? The package was called Hot Wired. It didnt air too long. It seems to even have left the station at some point in time.
