Station Lists

Where is the best place to get a complete, up to date list of all 60s, 70s, 80s oldies or Classic Hits stations in America. complete with contact information?

Thanks!

THE best source for radio info .. period, is The Radio Book! New edition comes out this summer. Always kinda pricey though at about $90. You can check it out at www.theradiobook.com ;D

Rather than a book, which I am sure is outdated by the time of its publishing, is their a web site or other resource for this information?

Well, on www.radio-locator.com, there is an advanced-search feature where you can select "format" (oldies/classic hits/etc.) and even by-frequency, but I am not sure if that is what you are looking for exactly. And it isn't worldwide.

The book is the most accurate printed source available.

Radio-Locator is often outdated in their format information.

I'm telling ya, for what you're looking for, there is NO 1-stop-shopping. Information like that would have to be culled fromn different internet sources and pieced together. :-\

Or -- the other way to do it, is to go to Radio-Locator, do the format search, then use the available link for the stations' website to see if it's correct. They should have contact info on the web pages too.

There is indeed one-stop shopping, but it's not free. The M Street/100000watts.com database is constantly updated, and we track a lot more data than appears on the website or in the Radio Book, including personnel and contact information. Our New Hampshire office can generate custom mailing lists...for a price, of course.

(dang; i could'a had a v-8!)

Yes, thanks Scott, I'd forgotten about that!!

But as he says, it's not free. I used to visit it frequently, years ago, before it began with subscriptions.

Thanks! All good information and I appreciate it!
