station on 93.5

Hi I live in Springfield and on the south side near Wal-Mart I get tv station reception on 93.5. Its usually channel 5 but has been known to be espn before. It only comes in when I get into Wal-Mart. Its in mono so would that mean its a pirate?

The fact it's mono doesn't necessarily make it a pirate but the programming you're hearing does. I might suspect it's someone's wireless inter-room transmitter.
 
Any gyms nearby? I have seen them have TV audio retransmitted on small FM transmitters so the club users can tune their headphones to the TV sound? Personally I have one to rebroadcast by computer throughout the house. It reaches half of my neighborhood. The mighty 105.1 WNOK!

There is a YMCA next to Wal-Mart so do you think thats it? I had no idea they have a little fm transmitter. Im still new and learning about stuff dealing with the radio.

When you have some time, tune your radio to 93.7 and sit in the YMCA parking lot for a minute....... if you hear splatter from 93.5 over on 93.7 then it's at the YMCA!
