Stations currently off the air

Does anyone know of any radio stations in the area (anywhere in New Jersey) that are currently off the air. If anyone knows any radio stations that are currently dark, kindly post which ones they are and where they are located. Thank you.

I can't really think of anything in New Jersey that went dark and is just sitting there. Seems like even the stations that would never make it anywhere else on their own (1580/Hammonton, 1490/Pleasantville - two AM's with limited signals) are on the air doing something.

2 NJ stations currently Dark
WDDM 89.3 hazlet went Dark STA Expired.
WHWH 1350 Princeton is dark

From the FCC list.....
http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/status/silent.html

neither of the stations mentioned are on the silent list. Anyone got some current and definitive info.
Have the stations been deleted before the current list posting so they wouldn't even appear????
am most interested in anything here north in the state.

share what you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHWH should be permanently gone since it's been more than 5 years since their ex-band counterpart WTTM went on air. They were unoperating under a silent STA until December when it expired. They've filed for a new STA but that hasn't been granted yet.

ok...
as I said WHWH is not on the FCC list... so am interested in their status. Can it be bought or an LMA?

the college radio posting board has something about a translator lease in Edison?
Anyone know what is up there?

Got a group that might be interested in something but need more details....

WHWH is to be deleted. There's nothing to lease.

Before you start worrying about translators you need a primary. Translators can't translate for an AM (yet).

well...........

cawasinnj, having the primary isnt a problem.... but is the frequency even available anymore and it would fit the spectrum.... even if the whole licensing process has to be undertaken...

I really want to know about the lease translator in Edison mentioned elsewhere or if either of the frequencies mentioned above are even remotely or potentially available......

someone got some definitive info????????????????????????????????

Maybe Im having a hard time understanding english, but Im not quite udnerstanding exactly what you're asking.

You could file when the next window opens, but since the whole idea of doing the ex-band was to clear some stations off the primary band I'm not sure what the Funny Cookie Company will think.
