Stations for sale

Do any of you know of any stations that have been rumored to be on the sales block or at least whose owners would likely be willing to sell? I'm particularly interested in AM stations with good but not necessarily entire market coverage. Thanks. rr

D.B. Zwirn & Co. of N.Y. is the investment company--not a radio company---that took possession of 990 and the c.p. for 700 after the bankruptcy. I'm sure they'd be happy to entertain an offer.

First Broadcasting would probably also be happy to sell 1160 & 1190.

No one will want to get close to the 700 site after the big rain storms of a few weeks ago. Rumor has it that due to substandard construction at the 700 site, the doghouses started sinking and tilting. Ground radials were torn up, feed lines were shorted, etc., etc. Rumors are they have major problems.

That sounds like pictures just begging to be posted.
Any volunteers want to go get their feet wet?

I've never been out there, but I know folks who have. I'd be interested in shooting some pictures. Give me a few days.
______________

First Broadcasting does not own 1190. Therefore they cannot sell it.
______________

You are correct. They have an LMA on it. I'm sure Clear Channel would be happy if First brokered a sale for them.

Let me know if you'd like some company on the "site survey.
