That's the one. Heard an ID at the top of the hour after this was posted.

What you heard probably wasn't in GA. It was probably some station hundreds of miles away.

For the past two days there have been dozens of reports of people in TX hearing FL and people in FL hearing TX and Mexico.

WPLA 107.3 (Planet Radio) in Jacksonville was heard in TX 1020 mi from their location last night.

This could be the answer

We had a so-called "atmospheric duct" today across much of North Carolina. This often happens in the spring when an unusually warm air mass sets up over the state and creates an area in the ionosphere that reflects radio waves above the so-called MUF (Maximum Usable Frequency) which is usually about 5 Mhz. This allows FM & TV signals to be recieved from distant locales as if they were local. The condition can persist for hours or days...us ham radio operators live for this, as it gives us a chance to talk on our VHF rigs over long distances with very little power.

With the cold front that is pushing through our region at the first of the week, the stage is being set again for another round of tropospheric ducting. When the warm air returns, start watching FM and lower-channel VHF TV (2-6) for tropo openings. We may see some other interesting skips in the next couple of weeks.
