Stations Knocked Off The Air Due To Hurricane Earl?

I wonder how many radio stations in Earl's path manage to remain on the air as it makes its way toward the East Coast and passes through the Outer Banks. Specifically, I would be interested if their webstreams pick up listenership in the event of transmission failure due to the hurricane.

While I don't have a dog in this fight, I occasionally listen to WNCT 107.9 online and would hope that they would have exceptional coverage. And of course, thoughts and prayers to everyone in the area.

Right now a lot of people have a lot of respect for him, and are probably calling him "Mr. Earl". Let's just say he's a pretty big boy, with a lot of strength right now; and the east coast is on his bad side, whether or not he makes landfall, if he gets within about 75 to 100 miles of anybody. He is only moving at about 17 mph, which is not a real good thing.

I hear it may be downgraded to a Category 3 from Category 4.

By the way, WNCT-FM plans to have wall-to-wall coverage - meaning the oldies will be put on hold for awhile - starting at 6 PM.

Now a Category 2 - still pretty potent at around 110 mph, and still a pretty big storm, and when you figure what a mere 45 or 50 mph winds can do....

Hi. My name is Earl. I did a bunch of bad things in North Carolina. But I made a list and I'm going to make up for all of them ...

Mr Earl, I have been a good boy all year. Could you bring me a bag of tubes and a New antenna and a new Transmitter?
