Stations Logged from Shenedoah NP

Some stations I've logged from my car radio on Skyline Drive (elevation ~3,000 - 4,000 feet):

102.1 (Q102) - Philadelphia
106.5 (Magic 106.5) - Clarksburg, WV
94.5 (94.5 3WS) - Pittsburgh
94.9 (The Point) - Norfolk

Anyone else have others?

On a couple of trips to the park, I've heard many stations from many parts of VA and MD (west of Chesapeake Bay) and eastern parts of WV. Never did hear 106.5 in Clarksburg, WV or anything in Pittsburgh, though. I've heard Richmond, rural south central VA and even the Hampton Roads area. I also heard some from Baltimore and one from southern PA (WIKZ 95.1).
I stayed south of the intersection of Skyline Drive and US Route 33 on both occasions. This was with the car radio, and on the AT trail, with the Tecsun PL-310 ultralight radio.

Some of the farthest, mostly line-of-sight, WVHL Farmville, VA, WNOB 93.7 Virginia Beach, WBBC 93.5 Blackstone, VA, WKGO 106.1 in Frostburg, MD, WPZZ 104.7 Crewe, VA, WXJK Farmville, VA.

Baltimore, Richmond, and Hampton Roads are definitely very strong at that elevation.

The aforementioned P-Burgh and C-Burg, WV stations were very weak and hardly perceptable. Regarding 106.5 out of Clarksburg, I recieved it just south of the US 211 entrance and it was on the west facing side of the mountain. Obviously, 106.5 and 94.5 are oblierated by what essentially comes in as locals out of Richmond on the east facing side of the mountain. To pick up Pittsburgh and Clarksburg, I find it best to be at least a few hundred feet from the ridgetop on the west side.

Another interesting line of sight catch is on the Allegheny Front of WV and MD. DC Stations come in like locals along Route 50 just west of Romney.

Did you carry your Tecsum PL-310 with you on the ATV or was it built in? Must have been fun trying to drive the ATV and holding onto the radio!

I'm sorry, when I meant "AT trail", I meant the Appalachian Trail, the hiking trail that begins in Maine and ends in Georgia. This trail goes through the Shenandoah NP along with the Parkway. I was walking on the trail, took the radio with me, and I stopped at a certain place to turn on the radio, and at the same time enjoyed the view of the valley on the west side of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
