Stations off the air thanks to Issac

I know Issac has been ramped over AL but have noticed 96.1 the rocket was at half power or flea power. Are there any other stations off the air?

Here in Ft Walton we lost a few but there back on

I just can't imagine having no Rob FM. I just hope there was not damage to the strobey's, aluminum foil, map quest and donkey. (For those of you fairly new to this board, I guess I could try to explain what the hell all that means..if anyone REALLY wants to hear...)

Rob-FM is a Toronto based station that has hit the USA scene back in 2001, it's flagship station CROB along with sister station CHIT out of Vancouver, BC plays everything from the past 4 decades of classic rock. It's tower sits atop of the CN tower with a flame thrower of 200,000 watts (really 40,000) and serves southern Ontario with the best music to date.

Today in 2012, CROB has 15 transmitters all over Canada and over 100 full power stations in the USA and almost all of them in the top 5 in the Arbitron ratings.

(and yes, CHIT WAS a real station if we can have WFNA, why not that?)

That over hyped rain storm didn't do shouldn't have done anything to Florida or Alabama broadcasters. Now the folks in the swamp south of New Orleans are hurtin' pretty bad. That's where the worthwhile stories should come from. Might even find something in the Bay St. Louis, MS area... but New Orleans is the only area with a good excuse to have damage.

Good news. Rob-AM is back on the HD3 channel of the 284,000 watt 2,500 foot tower of WABD ;D

I think I heard or read that WQRZ in Bay St. Louis was destroyed. If true that would be awful, especially on the anniversary of Katrina.

Yep, just Googled it.
The "little station that could" didn't make it. The Devil smacked them down for doing a wonderful job of super serving their community.

I didn't search long, found two relevant articles on WQRZ.

I wanted to use several curse words in this post, but the new moderators don't like it when I do that.

92.1 out of Destin was down for a bit, the 94.3 station is down (and still is) 96.1 the rocket is still at half power or flea power. That's all I hear

Rob, is The Rocket back to normal for you? When I checked yesterday on my 'deaf' radio, 96.1 was doing just fine — it was Lite Mix that was almost inaudible in Foley!

Where the changes have happened is with HD: WBLX, The Rocket, Lite Mix and WDLT are all off since Isaac.

I listen to Q92 all the time. Don't judge! ;) I didn't notice them being down at all.
