Stations offering the Most Subchannels

Given Pittsburgh's likely loss of Radio Information Service in the near future from the WESA-90.5 sub-lineup, I wonder if a TV version of RIS might be possible. I like that choice on WVIZ.

It seems to work well for them. Most tuners and converter boxes seem to pick up the audio-only 25.9...here in the OMW World Headquarters, both of our Zenith/Insignia boxes handle it fine, and only a USB HDTV tuner for the computer chokes on it.

I don't know if the CSCN folks still also use WCPN/90.3 (now co-owned with WVIZ). I do know that WCPN's predecessor on 90.3 actually stayed on the air a few months with no programming, many years ago, solely to allow CSCN's predecessor to operate.

I've seen a couple of newspapers list subchannels. I believe the Youngstown Vindicator has them on their TV grid...possibly sparked by the fact that the Vindicator owns WFMJ/21 and "WBCB", the CW affiliate on 21.2...
